Mark Arrington Music: My Bands

Vintage Country
Vintage Country sings classic country music from the classic stars like Hank Williams, George Jones, Patsy Cline, the Louvin Brothers, the Kendalls, and the great Nashville duets from the 40's to 1980. My wife Leticia and I sing and play to a complete country backup band, where I played and recorded all of the instruments. This is the country music that real country fans wish was still around!
Celtic Crossroad
Celtic Crossroad has been performing since 1978. We sing traditional music from Ireland, England, and Scotland. Our sound might be compared to Planxty or The Black Family. The repertoire includes Irish favorites from The Clancy Brothers, almost-Irish favorites like our a capella versions of Irish Lullabye and Danny Boy, a good number of sea songs, and a couple of Canadian songs.
Mountain Laurel Bluegrass Band
Mountain Laurel has been performing hard-driving, traditional Bluegrass and classic country music since 1979. Our repertoire includes songs from Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, Osborne Brothers, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, etc. Great vocals with simple, traditional arrangements appeal to all audiences.

Solo Performance

Feis Music
I've been playing music for Irish dancers since '77 and have been a feis player since '96. I have a vast repertoire of tunes and play straight on the downbeat, which perfectly matches dancers' steps. I can also play rhythm guitar or bodhran in a duo or group situation. I currently play around 50 feis days per year, mostly up and down the East. All of my feis music is available here or on iTunes and other download sites.
Classic Country Music
I perform classic country music as a solo act. For the background music I played and recorded all of the instruments - acoustic and electric guitars, electric bass, drums, fiddles, mandolin, banjo, and background vocals. I use that as my band. The repertoire is from country greats from the 40's to the 80's.

Recording and band fill-in
I can play multiple styles for your recording, and fill in with your band on fiddle, acoustic guitar, mandolin, or 5-string banjo.
